A Police State of Our Own Making

Now here we are in the Land of the Free where no small offense goes unchecked by the hoards of camaras in every hand. 

Though We pride ourselves on innocent until proven guilty -- that only goes so far  .. with social neighborhood watch and media exposing every oddity that will just happen to happen to you too.

Your Ring doorbell will insure... every innocent walk to front door is that sneeky one we heard about.  

Our children learn early a device will record... Every braw between them is a scarlet letter forever on Facebook to lesser connected parent.

We think ourselves so high and mighty for 'seeing something then saying something' that it's very thrill in itself becomes paramount to the event or people.

These types that church and friend and like and retweet and peck on our phones day in and day out.  Their day will come by he who is just and all-knowing. 

Until then We suffer as they are nothing but antagonist to peace.

Gossip and false witness they play.  Knowing first, forgiving last they thrive in every corner.  Making every move a sinister one.

Drawing the public and the police to conclusions so dire... Catch that guy!, catch that guy! who turn the wrong way down my driveway that day.  His picture is posted you see!

But as the walls of our sovereign land are porous, we are rightly led to believe...who knows who is who among the good citizens.  But they would be the first to welcome them without assimilation. Further forcing defenses among us..while putting ourselves in a cage with no defenses.  No guns against guns.  Bow before the thugs and the State alike.  We bury ourselves with every move until escape is only an illusion...
In the hell we have made a police state of our own!

The True Tariff

Economics, a science grounded in basic principles, does not have the ear of this otherwise great President *.  We knew this was part of his agenda early on. 

(* It may well be that he is actually using it as a threat to secure freer trade with our neighbors?).

But for some countries the true tariff should be us as a consumer with our American social values.

Imagine being a Northerner had the South maintained an independent Confederacy.  You, a loyal Union abolitionist, now has a choice:  buy inexpensive slave made goods OR just as well made expensive goods from wage workers.  Assume that, although laws could be passed to block trade they are ineffective only serving to make smugglers rich.  Thus, it would not be in either country's best interest to outlaw or impose levees or otherwise hamper trade by law. 

Instead of relying in government, a truly free society would give credit to the informed individual.  He would call upon his values to say "I would go without rather than support slave labor'.  Then by virtue of this denial, he has imposed an effective tariff on the South.

In my next post, I will extend this to today given its application to our strenuous trade relationship with China, and ,as a separate issue, the third world.

devices

Satan has for a long time waited for this moment in time when a such thing evil as devices arise. They take children and separate from their parents just as man turned away from God in self-absorption.  No longer do they play or pretend but they stay true to imitating parents who forever tap on bright boards.

So then, in our cleverness to connect everthing, we connect every mind letting no secret remain and no embarrassment sealed.  The sin of false witness through fake news and slander prevails.  True repentance is no longer through God's Son but through appeal to the likes of the hordes that condemned Him.

Oh I hope for his return one day when finally Good triumphs.  Then those not tweeting or chatting or posting on fb will truly have their eyes on the sky.  Their phones, now useless, in the gutter.  Others (we pray not) will, as they sensationallize their final post that faithful day.

Indeed, with this very typing we are drawn into it, but resent it still.  Good will win in the end.  But as was foretold The winter must preceed the spring. 

A glimmer of hope remains with the children we teach that true love comes from Him.  And prudent use is wise of such devices that are Satan's 'One Ring' to control them all.  That their hearts not be lead to self-condemn by the words of others but to know the true Judge looking down is a  merciful source of true everlasting love.

that school shooting again

Every time this happens it is sad.  The knee-jerk is to mess with 2nd Amendment.  The under-reported is how many lives are saved and how our freedom from tyranny is upheld by its promises. 

Think about this, for all its attention it is incredibly rare.  This kind of discussion seems cold.  However, consider all the resources and laws going into this now one would think this kind of event an epiphany to nation.

Consider a small population has a school shooting and in a year there is another one.  As a side note, in the blighted urban schools this actually happens in some form but is not newsworthy.  In this case giving the relatively small sample of the population, it should merit action. 

Now, spread this yearly frequency across an ever growing population that includes 'Mayberry' rural, suburbs, and metropolitan areas.  You get to the point where a school shooting becomes almost guaranteed statistically.  In fact, thinking philosophically, an infinite population would have this event happening all the time.  Somewhere it will happen, but the news fools the simple mind into thinking its pervasive.

Given that its rare, should every child now be required to purchase body armor?  Should we spend more on security that covers every possibility.  This is looking to government to solve every ill.  Yet our forefathers feared government in favor of natural law -- the God given natural right to protect oneselve.  

We must make more probable that the good citizen with the legally obtained weapon has it when that time comes.  That could be the principal, or a well trained teacher in this case.  Or just someone who happens by.  

With children at stake, we cannot use arguments like the schools' weapons being used against itself or law enforcement taking down the good guy as an excuse.  While possible, it is more probable to work out better than a school of sitting ducks.  

Indeed the very knowledge that the school has a weapon would bring second thoughts.   This latest shooting, now playing the system to stay alive, would have considered the same before his crime.

Sadly, the left will win this argument one day.  Soon after tyranny in many forms will arise from our own government to thugs trampling the good.  The irony will be more travesties than even this!

A call to throw down your phones when the time comes

It is said he will come again like a thief in the night.  Will you be ready?  He says look always to the sky.  Will you?

Not long ago now a deputy was shot at point blank while serving a ticket.  He had no idea this stop would change his life forever.  Some of the first observers to this highway scene did what seems all too natural these days -- take out the cell phone and record.  Yes, not to render aid, not to help but thinking of the coolness of recording this scene to friends later.

Yet when HE comes it will not be a life-changer but a life-ender.  That is right, life as known will end and the Great Rebirth of those in the book of life will begin anew this time without death.  It will be pencils down, no redos, no extensions.

Will you be there to enjoy this as a part of the movie or be the cell phone recorder of its occurrence?

Be warned.  When it happens you will know it unmistakably.  There will be no time to call or reason to because all will know it at once.  He is all-powerful and timeless.  Throw down your cells, watches, smart this or that.  They will be your undoing then.  These things will have no meaning. Instead, enjoy the prospect of being forever free of all that for paradise is at your footsteps.

But there will be those like Lot's wife who will 'look back'.  She will grab her phone and stare at this event not with her own eyes but through the looking glass of the carl zeiss lens.  Do not be her.  Look before you and revere with all you can.  Drop the i-thisOrThat where you stand and look to the sky!

The deputy survived and the gunman captured and the event recorded duly by some stranger with a phone.  Yet though the realtime things get the more less real they become.  Be there to tell the story as a part of the act that will make it real for you and for others to come.

Following debates

At this point, which Republican to win is moot.  All that matters is that they can win over those who elect people based on charm.  Abortion policy, religeous background, infidelity takes a back seat to defeating this incumbant.

Yeah, its 9/11

Some would liken it to Pearl Harbor. Clearly different 9/11 targeted
civilians. Today there is a tone of forgive those responsible siting
Jesus parable on forgiven servant. Contrast that with the need to
oppose evil. Comparing the parable with the 911 terror there are stark
differences. First the concept of 'debt'. Not to be too literal but
can any sin or wrong be a debt? Plus scripture does allow for the
concept of 'enemy'. There is a difference between opposing an enemy and
'hating' them. We must always be open to forgiveness but always the
forgiven must accept those same ideals. Have the terrorist forgiven
the type to be forgiving as well? Second, the parable shows intent on
the debtor to be forgiven. The terrorist maintain there position. In
fact, they relish in it and they count on our weakness. They are the
enemy.
The problem is who are they? There are not battle fronts. Just the
notion of a people who will likely be terrorist. This of course allows
for what the terrorist want -- to divide us. Some of us will stereotype
and harass people we think that look or act like terrorist. Often
innocents are martyred as a result. Others will fight against this
group in the name of preventing hate, bigotry, civil liberty, and the
usual left-wing love our enemy crap. I fear the enemy succeeded. The
enemy knows all they have to do among the innocents and come out again
when needed.
In the end, you must be willing to forgive when the time comes. That
time has not arrived. The new enemy is ourselves in that if we don't
show the terrorist that we would rather be free than live in fear --
even if they sometimes succeed -- then they have won. The new enemy are
those in our government that serve only to defend the enemy. To give
them our rights, take away our own, to forbid harsh means to get answers
from them, and to illegality search grandmas and children and normal
folk. Neither enemy deserves our sympathy until they recognize that
what they did was wrong.
Do: If you find the true enemy. That is, you know of a person that
explicitly wants to create terror against the American people. Point
them out among your friends.
Don'ts: take action yourself. the chance of creating a martyr is too
great and you'll land yourself in jail.
- trust our own government. DHS already profiles the typical
terrorist as exactly the opposite of what you'd expect. Likely they
would point you out as the terrorist than the one you expose.
